"Unlimited" is a Lie!

"Unlimited" is a Lie!

Last month, a department of the United States government, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), accused AT&T of deceiving millions of “unlimited” data plan customers by limiting their access to data through dramatically slower transfer speeds. AT&T didn’t even dispute the FCC’s accusation, instead defending themselves by stating that all carriers manage “unlimited” plans in the same way. Google recently promised “free”, “unlimited” online storage for its new photo service. But just like AT&T’s data plans, Google’s online storage is also limited. Users who wish to keep all of their photos and videos uncompressed and in their original formats are limited to just 15 gigabytes of storage or they must pay monthly fees. How could any honest person possibly call this “free” or “unlimited?”

Whether it’s data plans, or online storage solutions, companies that promise “unlimited” are promising the impossible. “Unlimited” is a lie! In short, these companies – or at least their marketing departments – have no problem outright lying to you, their customers, and the public in general. I don’t know about you, but this sort of behavior makes me distrust and dislike companies like AT&T and Google. Do I really want to put my private conversations or precious photos in their hands? No way!

At Forever, we are building long-term relationships with our customers – our members – based on trust. We never lie to you – never have, never will. We don’t offer false promises of “unlimited” or “free” storage that disappear when no one is looking. Instead, we sell clearly defined products and services – desktop design and organizing software, web and mobile apps, digital art, media services, and permanent sharable storage. What is a Forever™ permanent sharable storage account? It is your permanent digital home, a “place” in the internet cloud where you own all the photos (and soon videos, documents and audio files) that you upload -- where you can edit and organize your content and determine how and with whom you share all your memories – where a professional organization is making sure that your content is secure and data migrated to new file formats as technology changes over time. And each gigabyte of permanent sharable storage is backed by our patent-pending “Forever Guarantee.” In this way, we promise that your photographs, videos, documents, and audio files will be available to you and those you choose to share them with for your lifetime plus 100 years. And, while we cannot guarantee more than your lifetime plus 100 years, our goal is to safeguard and make your memories available to your family for many, many generations beyond the guarantee.

If you are looking for a trustworthy and permanent digital home where you can collect, curate, and celebrate your digital content now and for generations to come – where caring people work passionately every day to safeguard the key moments in your life -- then Forever is for you. I hope you and your family will join us!
